Hands up if you remember Prada’s beloved Edward? In case you forgot, he’s the blanked face robot that came in a Saffiano-wrapped body and electrical cables for limbs that stole our hearts when he first came out back in 2009. Edward is no ordinary robot though; he is actually a bag charm/keychain that comes with his own steel hook and split ring, and over time, has become one of Prada’s most unlikely icons yet.

And because it has reached icon status, Prada’s Trick keychains now extend to a family of colourful robots whom have joined Edward, with equally adorable names like Robin, Romeo and a girl robot named Giulietta, amongst others. Standing slightly taller than their older brother Edward (14 cm), these all-new Trick keychains range between 18 cm and 19 cm long with even brighter and bolder colours (and even more metallic hardware).

An adorable keychain that also looks good on your pouches and totes as a bag charm, you can even hook them all together as a little family of robots, because #moreismore. Available at all Prada boutiques islandwide, these new ones are retailing at SGD610 each, while Edward (which is the OG as far as the Trick is concerned) is priced at SGD430. And something to note, whoever said fashion is a bad investment should know that Edward was retailing for just SGD140 back in 2009. Really.

LADY GAGA IS THE FACE OF TIFFANY & CO.'S LATEST CAMPAIGN

Lady Gaga has racked up quite the style CV since smashing onto the pop music scene nearly a decade ago: style signatures include but are not limited to lace bodysuits à la Bad Romance, a certain affinity for platform shoes and one very memorable meat dress. However, Gaga's latest foray into the fashion industry has her collaborating with iconic Tiffany & Co. for the brand's new fashion jewelry collection, Tiffany HardWear. 

As Vanity Fair exclusively reports, the campaign, styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by David Sims, features Lady Gaga (who has starred in a previous campaign for Versace in addition to a Tom Ford fashion film) modeling one of former creative director Francesca Amfitheatrof's final design projects before Reed Krakoff took the helm at the classic New York jeweler. The collection, which includes rings, pendants, earrings and necklaces in 18-karat gold and sterling silver, reportedly draws inspiration from archival unisex bracelets originally created in 1971. Tiffany HardWear will be available for purchase on the brand's website beginning on April 18, and will hit stores on April 28. However, the designs will become available for pre-order on February 5th — a.k.a. Super Bowl Sunday — during which Tiffany will air its TV spot starring Gaga (who is also performing at the halftime show).

Earlier today, legendary jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. has announced Lady Gaga as the new face of their latest campaign Legendary Style, showcasing their new Tiffany Hardwear collection.

Set to debut during this year's Super Bowl Sunday-- February 5th for non football enthusiasts -- via a 60-second film, this will mark the brand's first ever Superbowl advertisement. Directed by Tiffany's in-house team alongside partner and former Vogue creative director Grace Coddington, the ad will feature an intimate portrayal of Gaga's personal journey towards self-empowerment and expression. And even if football or jewelry might not be your thing, the ad also includes some fierce footage of her French Bulldog Asia, who is no stranger to the camera.

"In New York, you're born knowing that Tiffany is the best, and that it is where the magic happens. The Brand is definitive and iconic, yet continues to push and evolve with the times," said Lady Gaga in Tiffany's press statement. "To me, Tiffany represents timeless American jewelry."

#4 – Its strength is also legendary, and while it isn’t indestructible, it’s pretty strong. Think of the saying ‘it takes a diamond to scratch a diamond’ and you’ll know what I mean. Even more amazing, it all begins with high-grade ceramic power being tipped into moulds that are shaped after the bezel and the links on the watch strap, before being ‘fired’ in a kiln. I didn’t know this myself either, but they shrink by almost 20% during the firing process, compressing the powder and forming the hard ceramic pieces that are then buffed and shined into the iconic components that make up the watch. #mindblown

#5 – The high-tech ceramic J12 also has health benefits because it is hypoallergenic too. Yes, you read that right. Because if one is allergic to metals like nickel, you won’t have any issues with this watch. You might laugh, but with all sorts of allergies being even more commonplace these days, it is another factor to consider when buying a timepiece, especially an expensive one that’s meant to be worn every day. #mindblown

#6 – Last but by no means least, let’s take a look at another key component of any timepiece, the watch strap. Or in the case of the J12, it’s the bracelet that’s also made of ceramic. The first luxury brand to ever use ceramic as jewellery on such a big scale, it’s also scratch-resistant, inert to chemicals and ergonomically compatible. What I’m even more fascinated about is the patented magnetic clasp that took 7 years of research and allows it to ‘spring’ open as and when you need it to. Which is important since no one should ruin their freshly manicured nails while putting on or taking off their watch. #mindblown

Who needs flowers when you have Jaquet Droz’s blooming Lady 8 Flower watch?

Back in 2013, celebrated watchmakers Jaquet Droz created their first ever women’s watch: the feminine and intriguing “Lady 8”, this year the brand is revisiting this classic style and adding a few upgrades. 2016’s Lady 8 Flower features the same figure 8 shape but this time the top dial has been adorned with a flower that literally blooms for the wearer.

The flower automaton takes the form of a lotus, a flower that symbolises peace in some Asian cultures. Under its sapphire crystal dome, the six petal flower opens up when you press the push-button at 2 o’clock. Gold petals surround a briolette-cut sapphire or ruby which marks the center of the flower.

Meanwhile the actual watch dial is made from white mother-of-pearl. The white gold version has an intricate guilloché sun-ray pattern that we adore. The watch is powered by two movements, one for the flower automaton and one for the actual watch. Both movements are visible through the transparent caseback. The self-winding Caliber 29 watch movement offers a 38 hour power reserve. Also visible through the back is a pirouetting oscillating weight inspired by an accordion pleat motif.

The watch is available in white and rose gold variants and is limited to just 8 units of each. Both versions have cases encrusted with 114 diamonds, but the white gold is our favorite thanks to the charming sunray design on the main dial. An alligator strap in black (for the white gold watch) or brown (for the rose gold watch) complete the timepiece.

Tiffany & Co.: Legendary Style Campaign, Grace Coddington

You’ve seen the Legendary Style campaign, styled by none other than Grace Coddington, who’s a legend in her own right. And with Tiffany & Co., she, with 50 years of fashion experience behind her, took on the role of being the American jewellery house’s first independent creative. And her first order of business? Creating a new campaign for Tiffany’s.

And the inspiration behind the campaign? In her own words, ‘Blue is very extraordinary colour, it’s a very positive colour. I always say why do I love New York? It’s because the sky always blue.’ The colour of New York’s sky, the colour of Tiffany & Co., and also the main colour you see in the ad campaign, which stars the likes of Elle Fanning, Lupita Nyong’o and Christy Turlington Burns.

But today’s post isn’t about the campaign, how luminous the personalities look, or even how how beautiful the jewellery is (we’ve already seen all that, no?). Today’s post is this must-watch short BTS film that stars Ms Coddington at her most charming as she plans the shoot from start to finish, complete with her humble, self-deprecating wit that had me transfixed for the good 10 minutes that it ran.
